MUSICA LUNAR – “MUSICA LUNAR 4” (Musica Lunar) [September 13, 2022]

Musica Lunar comes through with “MUSICA LUNAR 4”, their fourth self-titled compilation, including 60 tracks from the most progressive and talented electronic producers from Argentina.

Maintaining the creed followed by the first three entries, “MUSICA LUNAR 4” is nothing but quality through and through. It’s honestly impressive that this many great tracks stay under the radar this long. Think of it as a wonderful gift if you’re into digging music or just want to own 60 dope new tracks.

The label is known for its minimal take on things, but Ambient, Leftfield, and Techno tracks get some love as well. It shouldn’t be understated how important groups like Musica Lunar are for the Electronic Dance movement worldwide—compiling hometown heroes with up-and-comers on one release from your country and then releasing it to the masses for next to nothing. Homegrown, grassroots, and raw just like the underground, you will find Barem, Gutz, toolbox, and dozens more on the label’s fourth compilation. To add a cherry on top, the average length of the compilation’s tracks are each around seven minutes, so you can expect progressive, chunky journeys front to back. One can easily feel the love and pride in a lot of these tracks, so shout out to the artists for sharing such personal energy.

Tracks like “Flocur Soul” by Esteban Gutierrez with its banging dub grooves, and Samos & Keny G’s “Who is This” with its Nu-Wave Breaks are just two examples of what this “MUSICA LUNAR 4” compilation provides. Mad respect to this Argentinian label for releasing yet another rock-solid compilation. You can purchase this and the previous three compilations for pennies on the dollar at the Bandcamp link provided above.
