Dark Machine Funk imprint owner and versatile artist Kerrie releases her newest EP “Transient Belief” on the iconic London-based Blueprint Records featuring 4 distinct broken rhythm selections to tug the heartstrings of any Techno-centric and Electro-stylistic audiophile.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of following the rise of Kerrie has been privy to the Irish-born, now Manchester-based artist’s explosive productions and sets alike. As a DJ and live performer, Kerrie is renowned for her unique and powerful mixes that feature versatile, well-curated selections. Not surprisingly, her transition into live sets garnered rave reviews and has landed her notable placements at Tresor events and beyond.
Musically speaking, Kerrie fondly dances between UK and Detroit styles in her mixing and consistently features broken-beat, groove-laden styles, while her live sets feature a more psychedelic and curiously intriguing canvas of sound evolution and progression. With her repertoire of musical facets, Kerrie has landed her performances on notable features such as SLAM Radio, Reclaim Your City, and Groove Magazine, and her releases have been seen on notable labels such as I Love Acid, Don’t Be Afraid, and finally Blueprint Records in 2022.
Blueprint Records, founded by acclaimed techno talent James Ruskin and Richard Polson in 1996, was something of a milestone and explosive moment for Kerrie. The 2022 album “Raw Regimen” brought about a spotlight to her releases that, while already present in its own right, powered her into a public purview and high demand among party planners. Showcasing her raw industrial tonal qualities with an amalgamation of broken and 4×4 rhythms, “Raw Regimen” provided a launch point for her follow up EP on the imprint.
“Transient Belief” EP is the second installment of what anyone can only hope is a long legacy of releases with the imprint. Featuring 4 selections that seem to be a refinement of the previous release’s style, the album features moody industrial movements tactfully placed with dub overtones and late-night sound design elements to tickle the ear and mind of listeners. The release itself comes in either a digital or vinyl format, though the vinyl is slated for shipping as of August 5th of this year.
