Steddi returns to Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains label with “Dub Informations” featuring 3 dancefloor weapons.
Originally branded as an offshoot label, the London-based Kneaded Pains has taken on a mind of its own, establishing itself as one of the tougher labels in the UK. With releases from Mark Henning, Filterheadz, Boxia, and Fatima Hajji, including artists from all over the Techno map, the label’s sound ranges from the driving and dark to the more trippy and hypnotic. Kneaded Pains has a little something for everyone.
“Dub Informations” starts out with the aptly named title track and builds slowly but surely throughout the whole piece. Around halfway through, the mystique of what this EP will be is surely recognized. “Sonic Involutions of Myself” comes out of the gate with haunting, spatial synths and a mesmerizing drum sequence that will have any dancefloor locked in. A slower track, “Electronic Metamorphosis” rounds out the EP with a deep dubby exploration into the Italian artist’s mind. A creepy, constant voice keeps a room on its toes and is a fitting end to the three tracker.
Now based in Barcelona, Steddi has been pursuing a degree in music production, and it seems to have paid off for him coming on the heels of releases on both Kneaded Pains as well as on the French label, Black Line Recordings.
Be sure to check out the EP, and as always, support your local music scene!
