Techno heads that appreciate meticulously-crafted melodic productions of experimental sounds and warm industrial textures will love this 4-tracker EP from GAEL titled “Frozen White Horse” for release on BITE records.
Listeners familiar with their previous two BITE records releases, “Shedding Skin” VA and The Soft Moon’s “Exister” (Remixed), will recognize the stacked chords, foreboding synths, and collaged beats and drums characteristic of the galvanized energy of GAEL.
GAEL is an artist who’s harmonic and organic approach to Techno production echoes the heartbeat of dancefloor resistance from Berlin’s Berghain to Kyiv’s ∄ as a resident at the queer event series XITb.
This “Frozen White Horse” EP is an exercise in control of auditory limitations and possibilities that tells an auditory tale of a “moody” Techno attitude, taking listeners on a welcomed journey of sonic exploration through the soundscapes of the post-punk musical mind of GAEL.
