12 of the underground techno scene’s biggest artists were asked to remix a favorite track released by Crisis of Man over the past five years to bring this compilation of high-energy and fast hard techno tracks.
Contributing to this VA are some of the most recognized names in techno, all bringing their unique styles and sounds for an epic Crisis of Man VA, titled: “The First Five Years: Remixed”.
Debuting in 2019, record label Crisis of Man has quickly become one of the most influential and impactful labels in techno over the last five years, boasting releases from some of the scene’s biggest and most legendary names.
‘The Last 5 Years: Remixed’ features tracks by Perc, DLV, EAS, Balrog, Unconformist, Henry Brooks, Nnamael, Khine, Pleasures, Lindsey Herbert, Max Gardner, Stephen Disario, Enigma, Annika Wolfe, and of course, label boss Selective Response.

Every track on this VA would fit nicely into the perfect warehouse set, but one of my favorite tracks on this VA comes from the legendary techno pioneer Perc with a remix of Selected Response’s ‘End Game’—a track that appeared in ‘Stay True Pt.1’, an EP released earlier in 2024.
This opening track sets the vibe of the entire VA perfectly with driving kicks, metallic textures, and samples that come together in a way that is still familiar to the industrial feel of the original mix.
This VA is a gold mine of hard techno that perfectly balances industrial sounds and techno tones with hard and driving kicks. With new takes on older tracks, ‘The Last 5 Years: Remixed’ is a “must have” VA for techno heads that love the characteristic: dark, hard, and driving techno that record label: Crisis of Man has quickly become known for in the last 5 years.
