PWCCA – “Alquimia (Inducted waves 031)” (Hard Tools Records) [October 18, 2024]

Combining minimal and ambient with industrial and noise to showcase the darker side of techno, fans of artists like Oscar Mulero, Tensal, Kessell, Dj Pete, Dave Clarke, and Tommy Four Seven will surely dig this latest release from PWCCA.

A 30-year electronic music veteran, José Chacón Benito boasts releases on labels such as: Aine (Pole group), Injected Poison, Newrhythmic, Kobayashi, and Konkrezept among others.

With an underground style that seems largely influenced by heavyweight producers like James Ruskin, Richard Polson, Christian Wünsch, and Portion reform, PWCCA’s latest “Alquimia (Inducted waves 031)” highlights his signature sound well. The five-tracker also succinctly embodies the record label’s characteristically hard beats and distortion-heavy sonics.

His refined and unique production style is amazingly demonstrated throughout this entire release. Each track builds upon the last, creating an unsettling journey that evokes some seriously wild feelings and frequencies. The whole albu, conveys a sense of foreboding.

This is perfect for techno heads that love the industrial side of things but also love those deep, heady dives.

Highly recommend checking this one out.
