Blenk returns to Enemy records with “Breaking The Loop” for a much-awaited masterpiece EP.
The French producer and DJ from Montpellier, Valentin, returns to Enemy Records with “Breaking The Loop” his third EP on the renowned label. This release—a powerful collection of four banger tracks and one intro—perfectly captures Blenk’s spirit and vision for techno music. Available in both digital and physical formats, Breaking The Loop brings to light tracks that have been years in the making.
A prime example is “Outline”, a piece crafted four years ago, finally finding its place in this release. Known for his meticulous approach, Blenk is highly self-demanding and aware of the overwhelming influx of quality music in today’s scene. This only raises his own standards, pushing him to refine his craft even further.
A defining trait of this EP is the common sonic thread that runs through all the tracks, shaped by his meticulous technical process, ensuring each sound is precisely delivered and perceived. The release is both a lane of possibilities and a statement of Blenk’s ability to express different emotional states through his signature scratchy, yet elegantly distorted textures.
Between raw energy and carefully designed forms, Blenk presents an exciting new chapter in his artistic evolution.
“Silo” stands out as a perfect example, crafted for dancefloor freedom yet deeply spaced out, filled with wild sonic shapes that feel almost tangible, like an invisible instrument being played in midair.
Built on a foundation of 909 drum samples and modular synths, this EP takes an experimental approach, merging multiple advanced audio processing techniques. The process could have easily led to chaos or creative dead ends, but Blenk masterfully navigates it, turning experimentation into a coherent, immersive journey.

Using FM and granular synthesis, random pitch shifts, delays, reverbs, and layered textures, “FM9” embodies this controlled chaos, pushing creative and technical boundaries to form something solid and deeply engaging.
While this EP marks a step forward, it remains unmistakably Blenk. It’s an evolution that may not be immediately obvious to everyone, but for those who listen closely, “Breaking The Loop” is both a refinement of his signature sound and evidence to his ever-growing artistry.
