Four military grade weapons chalk full of hope, severity, and power lace the first release, “Fight-1” from Ukrainian Military Techno.
Excellently deep tracks, “Fight-1” provides more than just music to the ears as the Ukrainian Military Techno brigade fights the good fight, waging sonic warfare in support of the Ukrainian defense against Russian occupation. Little can be found regarding the Ukrainian Military Techno crew, save for the name of one, Oleksa Moroz. A lone email and two bank routing numbers directed towards donations can be found at the bottom of the Bandcamp link.
The tracklist’s formatting is noticeably soldierly, consisting of an alphanumeric layout as one would see in the service. Not unlike a civilian release found on hundreds of thousands of records worldwide, the mysterious Ukrainian Military Techno crew have opted to list the tracks in extra clear format: AA01 through AA04.
You will find stomping Techno and Breaks-forward tracks with some seriously raw energy being put forth behind the music. The tracks all pack a hypnotic punch that seek to do damage, but with gentle class and intelligent design. Techno never stops as proven time and time again by the unrelenting artists and producers all around the globe. It proves passion wins over hate and that music can be used as a weapon for good. Shown on the cover art is a militarized transport truck with giant speakers, pointed westward.
