Lewis Fautzi brings all the two-steppers around the world some heat for the dancefloor with his first release of the year. “Irrational Fear of Failure” is a four-track EP off the Mord label full of bleepy keys and crunchy bass lines sure to make even the biggest wallflower get jiggy.
The four-tracker, “Irrational Fear of Failure,” starts off in a very sinister and gloomy place. Heavy bass lines with bouncing keys warn what is to come in the project. Fautzi builds an intensity that is undeniable for the listener.
Projecting a malevolent atmosphere that continues to drive through the entire EP, Fautzi stays true to his sound and his previously released music. The EP is brimming with energy and tracks that drive the night to its ultimate peak hours of the morning. Dancers will be sure to appreciate the groove the each track brings. There is not a single wrongly placed note in the project, and all four songs create an atmosphere which belongs in a dark club or warehouse.
The entire EP is undeniably intricate and complex—just what you’d expect from a proper Mord Records release. The Dutch label which is run by none other than the legendary Bas Mooy always brings this dark and twisted feel to most of its releases and “Irrational Fear of Failure” does not disappoint.
Lewis’ first release of 2024 holds nothing back when it comes to pure Techno sounds. Excited to hear more music from this incredible Portuguese producer.
