“Alpha-Theta” and “Drifting” open up the album as smoothly as can be before taking darker twists like in “Delta Wave”, “Inertia” and “The Five Aggregates”. “Hypnagogia” provides the only vocal track repeating the words “It’s all in my mind”, a perfect fit for the introspective music behind it and throughout the record. Wrapping up the album, “Transient Response” and “Solfäge’s Framework” are warehouse friendly and reflective numbers that are sure to elevate and inspire a pensive listener or dancefloor.
As expected from an Axis Records release, the mixing and mastering is impeccable, and DVS1 does a fantastic job of keeping a static vibe throughout the LP while letting the complexity and broad spectrum of sounds keep you interested track after track.
