Dahryl – “Recovery” (The Meaning of Rave) [February 2nd, 2021]

Hailing from Belfast, Dahryl is redefining the sound of heavy, hard hitting grimy techno with a face paced nearly cruel release on The Meaning of Rave. This five track EP is savagely fierce with ferocious remixes by Ghost in the Machine and RVDE.

“Recovery” begins this thunderous journey into a glorious, brutal, thumping bass driven thirty minutes of techno with a hard style undertone that leaves you wanting more, and more is what we get. Ghost in the Machine leaves us with an extraordinary remix with pulsating bass that breaks down and returns with a vengeance leaving us with a taste of 90’s rave nostalgia.

On the B side of things this heaving hitting release from Dahryl continues to show us why he is becoming one of technos favorites. Supported by the techno’s elites, the devilish track “Nightmare,” features haunting vocals echoing over the sharp wobbling syths, and a bassline not for the timid. Both Dahryl’s and the RVDE remix will leave your vision looking for more. “Fuel” is a six minute digital bonus leaving us in pure hard techno paradise. Pressed by Deep Grooves on a transparent ecologically friendly premium vinyl record.
