On Friday August 21, Dirty Epic & INCOGNITO proudly present FURTHER, a night headlined by two legends of Techno and House, Detroit’s DJ BONE and STACEY “HOTWAXX” HALE. Support by the magnificent Mapamota.
The force of nature who is DJ Bone has been described by DJ Mag, Boiler Room, Resident Advisor, Mixmag and more, as one of the best DJ’s alive. Artists like Blessed Madonna has called him the GOAT, while Moodymann, Amelie Lens, Skream and more, call him a true legend. When he plays, other headliners watch and study his technical magic behind the decks. He is the label head of Subject Detroit imprint and recently launched FURTHER; a new platform birthed in Amsterdam built on top of the event series which call RADION its home. More importantly, he runs the charitable institution Homeless Homies.
Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale meanwhile is the “Godmother of House Music”, being the first female House Music DJ on Detroit radio in the 1980’s, shattering the male-dominated scene at that time as a queer Black woman with talent that just can’t be denied. She is currently a resident at Panorama Bar Berlin and a regular at Movement, Zoo Project, and more. Her impact on dance music culture has long been established with appearances at New York’s Apollo and Studio 54, The Warehouse in Chicago and prominently mentioned at Dance Music documentaries from across the globe.
On support duties is one of LA’ shining bright lights, the ubiquitous Mapamota, a co-founder of Soul Swap, Direct Drive and Serenity Link.
