Interdimensional Transmissions must be smiling with their Eye Teeth release of Israel Vines first LP, “And Now We Know Nothing”.
This is where Izzy showcases his one of a kind sound integrated with influence from around the globe. With the launch pad in LA this ship beams up sounds from UK Bass and Techno but is also reminiscent of the midwest underground, theheart of American Techno and pressed in Detroit for authenticity. This ship is piloted by Izzy, but driven by rolling basslines and maneuvered with complex polyrhythms as we are chauffeured into the future of American Techno.
10..9…8..7..6..5..4… “Tri-Polar” is the warming of the engines on this nine track journey, where you experience breakbeats, smooth melodies, and euphoria created by a rhythmic fashion. Notable stops include “Afterever” a beautiful sequence of 4th world sounds drizzled with a slight taste of hip-hop. About midway through this journey we take a smooth “Nosedive” into heavy bass and wobbling turbulence landing us at the next stop. This is the most powerful stop, “Rage Appropriate”, with over five minutes of humping bassline and layers of spacey melodies. This leads us back to atmospheric entry with “Perpetual Perpetual”, a noisy rhythmic re-entry back from this journey.
These nine stops look like they are named after something in the punk rock-realm, but I assure you this is futuristic, driven, raw with a smoothness techno. This is Israel Vines.
