Rave music and it’s many definitions are revisited and updated to a present-day finish in “Arch Light;” the latest release by Barcelona based artist Caŷve on COUP Records. Three high voltage tracks filled with reminiscent sounds re-energized for a new feel. Sheets of different pitches and speeds of drum kicks and synthesizers all interwoven with trepidatious rhythm.
“Linebacker” kicks off with enigmatic rattling hinting a tribal flare that quickly forms into a proper techno euphoria enlivened by hard pounding drums and high-pitched never ending synth sounds. The same enraptured sensation shapes the second track “Arch Light.” Classical rave beats are reinvented and fused with exceptional competence. Prominent kicks and infinite sequences build momentum to burst into elation. “Black Bird” confirms mastery in execution and engenders sublime attainment. In summary, we are pleasantly seduced with three high octane samples with great power of attraction and effortless mastery.
