For nearly two decades, Reeko has been enlightening audiences with an austere, kind of purist, conceptual techno that has caught undivided attention.
“Dogma” picks up from early eighties experimental tradition with seminal names like “Esplendor Geométrico” and is infused with current minimal components. Astoundingly modern techno with a high abstract notion is the outcome. The tracks procure a tabula rasa where mind and soul take a rest as they are transported to new dimensions. A celestial introduction in “Dogma 01” gets distorted by a recurring production sound that turns the engine on and sets in for an immediate take off. Gurgling magma is heard along the ascending. The cut is an experimental threshold for the properly accessorized “Dogma 2.” Now, hissing and sweeping builds momentum for an adequate elevating ensemble. A short break gives way to a reinforced sequence of good vibes and rhythm that continues to rise. The climax is reached in “Dogma 3” with full speed in the navigation panel. The baseline and drums are aligned for a seamless journey. A more enigmatic “Dogma 4” maintains the cruise control rate while wide range oscillatory motions drive safely over the constant pulses. Bells signal mild turbulences yet directional velocity angle remains constant. Well paired is the title with the music presented. Those who aren’t true believers yet will have a tough time dismissing this sublime Dogma.
