Southern California native Dylan Brady is forever destined to be in a lifelong love affair with Techno and the community around it. Despite pursuing music production, DJing, and now writing, he always tries to remain a fan first and foremost, following the passion, not the money.
Born and raised in Orange County, Dylan Brady was deeply inundated with music growing up, having learned to play the piano and drums as just a child. However, compared to traditional music, Electronic genres always captivated him.
His first rave, Together As One back in 2008, began his fascination with rave culture and Dance music. Though it took a while for him to filter through the Trance and Progressive House scenes to eventually find Techno, minimal acts like Gaiser, Stephan Bodzin, Oliver Huntemann, and the like helped him finally uncover that passion. However, it wasn’t until after a family trip to Germany that Brady finally realized he’d found the genre for him. Wandering around Berlin at night and dancing until the sun came up in Panorama Bar was a truly formative experience.
Brady became involved with Dirty Epic in early 2022 through working with the operations team, helping at events with setup, promo, and ensuring things went smoothly. Now, he’s honored to start a new chapter at Dirty Epic writing for the music review team.
As a music creator, Dylan sees writing as an extension of the creative process. By dissecting our inspirations, one can refine their taste and feedback of that vision into the future sound of Techno.
